A quick look through my latest gallery pieces will see that I've started a Warhammer 40K Chaos Marine Army.  Considering myself a creative, I decided to create a custom warband instead of going with one of the canon ones.  They're called the Bronze Wyrms and I'm wondering if someone would be interested in designing a custom logo/insignia for my army.  I want the logo to reflect the three big themes behind my army which are:

  • Sorcery
  • High Technology
  • Draconic Imagery

I also need the logo to be one that can be shrunk to fit onto the shoulder pad of a 1-inch miniature without a loss in quality

Are you interested or know anyone who would be interested?  Let me know and we can work out a commission.

Thank you for anyone who responds.

As most who have seen me know, I consider myself a game designer.  For about two years, I've been studying game programming at a community college deep in the pine forests of eastern Texas.  I now have enough confidence in my ability to program and to solve problems to start working on a pet project  I've been dreaming of starting for about eight years now.  The basic idea for my dream game is to take your basic hack & slash RPG, then give the player the ability to switch classes at any point during gameplay.  The story revolves around a young woman's attempts to fight off a demon lord who has chosen her to be his bride.  She is given shape-shifting powers by the botched summoning magic the demon uses to bring the woman into the world the game takes place in.  I'm currently working on coding a prototype in UDK.

I've also taken the Game Design Document I've started and uploaded it to Google Documents for all to see.  It can be found here: docs.google.com/document/d/1kI…
Feel free to comment either on the doc page or somewhere on my DeviantART if you want.  I always appreciate feedback.

I only ask one favor: Please don't hold your breath.  I'm only one programmer, I'm only one artist, I'm only one designer, and staying alive comes first.  For now, this is only a pet project.  I'm not setting up a deadline and I don't have anything to prove to anybody.  It will probably be yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrs before anything resembling a finished product ever sees the light of day. OK?  So please don't be bugging me about "When are you going to finish this game?".  Ever.  I'm not in a hurry.  This is a dream of mine  and I'm going to give it all the time it needs.

Thank you for reading this and Thank you for your input.

It's been awhile since I wrote one of these hasn't it?  Another birthday has come and gone and the presents get better every year.  This new year in my life has made me the proud owner of a Kindle Fire.  I already have over 400 books downloaded onto it.  A lot of them independent Fantasy and Science Fiction titles that were available for free.  It's like the original love for reading I had in elementary school has been reawakened and I almost feel like I'm going through my own mini Renaissance.

Finals are next Wednesday and Friday, and I have a lot to do till then.  I'm not looking forward to it, but it needs to be done.  I'm pretty exited for summer though.  So many things I want to do, so many days I'll probably waste :P.  First on the to do list is to find a summer job before my mother can "hire" me  to work in the garden.  Much as I like the idea of gardening on paper, it's something I really dread in practice.  Two of my professors are organizing a summer long project and I've signed on as a programmer.  We'll be meeting once a week working with the Unreal Engine to create a multi-stage boss fight (think of the boss fights in GOW).  I'm also hoping of working on a few mini projects of my own.  If I make any progress in those, I'll be sure to post them in my gallery.

I'm thinking of getting into writing fiction.  Does anyone who reads my journals write?  Any tips for a starter and do you know any helpful sites?  I appreciate the feedback.

Cheers,

La Bomba Frita

I had the  strangest dream last night and I'm writing as much of it down as I can remember before I forget it completely.  I was a scientist on the first mission to the moon, except the spacecraft was powered by steam/coal(?), Nikola Tesla was Chief Engineer, and it might have been funded by Abraham Lincoln(?).  I remember the car pulling up didn't have a steering wheel, instead it was controlled by an endless array of levers valves, and dials running across the entire dashboard.  I don't remember getting much of a look at the exterior of the ship, or  at the interior either.  Next thing I remember, I was inside some sort of computer control/monitoring room with Tesla himself.  The room was rather small, enough to hold three people.    On the right was a giant computer that made up the entirety of the wall,  The left wall had three beds carved into them, a window outside for each bed.  The computer was massive, it had about as many buttons as you might find on a modern passenger jet.  The screen seemed to be made up of many blinking vacuum tubes  photographically projecting(?) a black screen that showed many vertices/nodes and edges being drawn, erased, and redrawn simultaneously.   A blinking blue light would travel from vertex to vertex. following the paths that were being created, destroyed, and redrawn constantly.  Why the blue light was following the ever-shifting maze, I have no clue.  Tesla was explaining why, but that was about the time I woke up.

I might try and work this into something (a story or a series of drawings perhaps) in the future.  If you want to use this for anything, feel free to do so.  All I ask for is credit for the idea.
